Department of Philology

The primary concern of the Department of Philology is to ensure the provision of high quality studies, undergraduate and postgraduate, to its students, both in the field of theoretical training and in the equally important areas of practical training and research specialization. In particular, the Department of Philology, through a wide range of activities and by utilizing its excellent building infrastructure and modern cutting-edge technologies, aims at the multifaceted scientific education of students in various fields of philological science and Greek culture. In addition, it systematically ensures the broadening of students' linguistic and interpretive horizons by establishing robust postgraduate programmes, organising numerous intellectual and artistic events, operating innovative research laboratories and strengthening its relations with the domestic and international scientific community.
